Rangers supporters have responded on social media to the significant news that Leon Balogun has signed a contract extension at Ibrox [Rangers.co.uk].
The 32-year-old joined on a free in the summer following a brief stint with Wigan Athletic and has made 28 appearances across all competitions.

It hasn’t been all plain sailing for the Nigeria international, who was sent off in the Europa League Last 16 second-leg against Slavia Prague at Ibrox last month.
However, in general, he’s excelled when deployed alongside Connor Goldson at centre-back, contributing to a plethora of clean sheets.
“Today is a very happy day and a very proud day announcing my contract has been extended for another year,” said Balogun [Rangers.co.uk].
“I am proud to be a part of this amazing club and I felt that pretty early on I had fallen in love with the club and the working environment, the way the players and the management staff work and the way the club is a big family, I am happy and proud that I can call myself a Rangers player.”
Balogun went on to reveal his desire to win more trophies and to play in front of a full house at Ibrox, while manager Steven Gerrard and sporting director Ross Wilson spoke of the positive influence he has had on the club both as a player and as a person.

The news follows soon after contract extensions were confirmed for Steven Davis, Allan McGregor and James Tavernier and fans were delighted with the update.
