Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has been addressing the Ibrox club’s supporters amid the enforced league shutdown.
The Ibrox gaffer was discussing the impact of the league shutdown on the club but also asking supporters to prioritise the health of themselves and their families.
Speaking amid ongoing confusion over what should happen domestically, Gerrard says that he doesn’t “have the answers” to the ongoing situation.
The Ibrox manager’s response has been largely warmly welcomed by the club’s supporters who appreciate the communications during this difficult time.
The enforced shutdown has given people plenty to talk about regarding the domestic and European competitions but Steven Gerrard’s comments are aimed at giving some perspective.
Whilst confusion reigns over whether the league season will be ended or trophies handed out and relegations confirmed, there is a wider reason why all of this is being forced to happen.

Even if Steven Gerrard did say he isn’t behind the season being played behind closed doors or being merged with the next campaign, the Rangers manager didn’t discuss the ongoing title debate.
Something will eventually come to a head in this regard but the Gers boss clearly felt it wasn’t his place to comment on it.
This is in stark contrast to rival Celtic coach Neil Lennon, who demanded the title go to Parkhead in the event of the league being abandoned.
Rangers have since released a statement saying they believe any attempt to finish the league season early “impacts upon the integrity of sport in Scotland”.
