Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos has been rewarded for his fine form at Ibrox with a provisional call-up to the Colombian national side.
According to the Colombian national side’s website, El Bufalo props up a 37-man provisional squad alongside ten other strikers.
These include the likes of Galatasaray hero Radamel Falcao and Europa League opponent and Feyenoord forward Luis Sinisterra.
Morelos has already earned three Colombia caps but following his ill-discipline at Parkhead in March, the combative forward missed out on a place at the summer Copa America.
It’s a disappointment which has clearly spurned Alfredo on and the 23-year-old striker has started the season in the finest of fettle.
Morelos has eleven goals to his name already this campaign and is Rangers’ main man at the top end of the pitch.
His form at Ibrox was always going to catch the eye of Colombia coach Carlos Queiroz and let’s hope that this time around Morelos has matured enough to find the back of the net for the South Americans.
The striker has routinely been linked with a move out of Ibrox ever since he joined the club but has proven himself to be committed and determined in the royal blue of Rangers.
