Rangers star Filip Helander kept a clean sheet for the Swedish national team as they ran out 1-0 winners over Georgia and got their World Cup Qualifying campaign off to a strong start.
The Scandinavians are World Cup regulars and Helander, 27, started the match in Stockholm and played the full 90 minutes alongside Man Utd defender Victor Lindelof.

But whilst the result might’ve been the main talking point for Sweden, Helander’s contribution to the match was overshadowed by the return of Zlatan Ibrahimović to international football.
The legendary forward – currently firing them in for AC Milan – has rewound the clock to return to the international stage after a five-year absence at the ripe young age of 39.
The striker would also create the winning goal on his return, the powerful forward volleying the ball across the area for Viktor Claesson to turn it into the back of the net.
Zlatan’s return to the international fold comes just in time for the World Cup Qualifying campaign but also for Euro 2020 this summer.
Sweden will be taking part in the delayed competition this summer facing off against Spain, Poland, and Slovakia in a tricky Group E.

Filip Helander will be hoping to play a starring role in that tournament for Sweden and after a fine season in Rangers colours will certainly have done his chances to harm.
Helander isn’t the only international Ger impressing on national team duty either – one of the Ibrox side’s key talents has answered some of his critics with a first goal for his country.
