Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara is set to join up with reported summer Ibrox target Joel Piroe should a deal with Leeds United go through.

Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that the Finnish international midfielder, 27, is set to move to Elland Road with the move seemingly to be completed imminently.

Some reports have claimed Rangers will earn as much as £5.5m from the sale of the ex-Dundee midfielder, who joins Leeds after over four years in Govan.

But as Glen Kamara’s move to Leeds United awaits confirmation, ex-Swansea striker Joel Piroe is already doing the business for the Championship side.

Joel Piroe off the mark for Leeds United

Rangers were linked with the Dutch forward back at the start of the window but were priced out of a move before going on to look elsewhere.

The Ibrox side spent have rebuilt their attack under Michael Beale this summer whilst Leeds United are transitioning from the Premier League.

Nonetheless, the sale of Tyler Adams to Bournemouth has boosted the Yorkshire club’s coffers with Joel Piroe swapping South Wales for the Whites last week.

Paying over a reported £10m to complete the signing of Joel Piroe, the striker is also off the mark for his new side in a seven-goal thriller against Ipswich over the weekend.

Jose Piroe scored Leeds United’s third goal of the game as they bounced back from going 1-0 down early on with the striker’s new club eventually going on to win 4-3.

There’s never a dull moment at Leeds United and Glen Kamara better be buckling up for a rollercoaster season at an expectant Elland Road.

Having been relegated from the Premier League last season, the pressure is on Daniel Farke to bounce straight back up after a 16 year absence before their last promotion.

Glen Kamara and Joel Piroe represent an outlay of over £15m for Leeds United and both the former Rangers midfielder and former Ibrox target will be expected to deliver.
