Rangers star Scott Arfield has raised nearly £8k for Poppy Scotland by auctioning off his match worn shirt from the 8-0 win over Hamilton Accies on Remembrance Sunday.
The special kit includes a Poppy emblem and the term “Lest We Forget” stitched into the front of the jersey as Rangers pay their respects to those who lost their lives in both World Wars.

Taking to Twitter, Arfield praised the response of Rangers fans who took part in the special raffle for the kit, which he actually scored in during the demolition of the Accies.
“Fantastic response again and £7,885 raised for @poppyscotland,” said Arfield.

Arfield had previously invited Gers fans to take part in the fundraiser by donating anywhere between £2 and £20 to a JustGiving page set up in the campaign’s name.
Anyone who donated would be included in a raffle with the winner – this time around being Gill Currie – winning the worn and signed shirt.
It’s becoming a yearly fundraiser for the on-form Ibrox star with the midfielder first auctioning off his special Poppy kit back in November 2018 following the 7-1 demolition of Motherwell.
When the midfielder isn’t raising money for good causes Arfield is also playing his part on the pitch – the midfielder has fought back from the edges to be a key player this season.
