Rangers star Borna Barisic has been named in the Europa League top-performing XI for 2020/21 alongside Man United and Arsenal players.
Barisic was a key performer in all competitions for the Gers last season, racking up a remarkable 50 appearances.
He was perhaps particularly important to the Light Blues’ Europa League campaign, though.
The Croatia international started the three qualifying matches and all ten fixtures in the competition proper, scoring three goals and notching five assists.
Barisic’s reward for those contributions, other than helping the Gers reach the Last 16 for the second consecutive season, was a spot in the Europa League top-performing XI of the season, which is based on the FedEx Performance Zone rankings.
Rangers’ sole representative lines up alongside some real top players, including Bruno Fernandes of Man United and £72m Arsenal winger Nicolas Pepe.
Alongside him in the back four are Villarreal defenders Raul Albiol and Juan Foyth, with Tottenham’s Matt Doherty slotting in at right-back.

In a season where the likes of Allan McGregor, James Tavernier, Connor Goldson, Steven Davis, Ryan Kent and Kemar Roofe all grabbed plenty of headlines, it’s possible to overlook the importance of the contributions made by others to Rangers’ success.
Barisic is loved by supporters, though, and this recognition is well-deserved after he showed remarkable consistency and durability across the campaign.
