Rangers star Kemar Roofe has shared a clip of an impressive finish in training on Instagram as his return to action beckons.
Roofe scored in the Gers’ 3-0 opening day Premiership win over Livingston but has missed the last three matches.
He was suspended for both legs of the Champions League third qualifying round tie against Malmo and missed the weekend league game against Dundee United due to a family emergency.
The 28-year-old’s young son had been hospitalised, but Roofe shared a heartwarming update on Instagram on Tuesday thanking medical staff for their excellent work and fans for their support.
He returned to training earlier this week and now looks set to feature in the Premiers Sports Cup clash against Dunfermline on Friday night.
The former Leeds United star looks sharp, too, based on his Instagram post on Wednesday evening.
He posted a pair of images and a training clip and captioned it ‘learning to dance in the rain’.
The clip shows players working hard at a drenched Auchenhowie and Roofe himself pulls off a glorious flicked finish past a helpless keeper following a cross from the left.
Roofe will be hoping to start against the Pars, either in the no.9 or an inside forward role, as the Light Blues look to get back to winning ways following a very rough week.
He netted 18 goals and notched three assists last season and a repeat of those numbers this time around would be very welcome.
