Rangers star Jamie Barjonas was one of the stand-out performers as the Ibrox club’s Colts side defeated Wrexham 2-0 in the Tunnock’s Caramel Wafer Challenge Cup.
The 20-year-old midfielder opened the scoring for the Colts and was heavily involved throughout as Graeme Murty’s side booked a place in the tournament’s semi-final.
And after the side’s place was guaranteed, Barjonas couldn’t resist taking to Twitter in a nod to Wrexham’s biggest celebrity fan of the moment.

Nodding to the famous “pilsner, baby” catchphrase of popular internet personality Bootlegger, Jamie Barjonas posted an image of him celebrating the opening goal.
Bootlegger – who normally follows Wrexham everywhere – didn’t attend the match at Ibrox with the Twitter personality instead booked up on a holiday to Benidorm.
It’s probably just as well. Not only were Wrexham beaten by the Rangers Colts, but the match was also marred by the presence of unruly Celtic fans.
Not that it made a difference to Barjo – with the Rangers supporters appreciating the not-so-subtle nod to the Welshman.

The result continues on from a fine run of form for the young Rangers side, managed by Graeme Murty and coached by the likes of Peter Lovenkrands.
The young Gers dumped Solihull Moors on penalties in the last round and are now one win away from a glamour tie at Hampden.
The four teams remaining in the competition are all Scottish, with the Rangers Colts joined by Raith Rovers, Partick Thistle and Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
Whilst the semi-finals are yet to be drawn, they’re scheduled to be played the weekend of February 15/16.
