Rangers star Glen Kamara came off the bench as high-flying Finland recorded a historic friendly win against World Champions France.
Kamara, 24, has been imperious for the Scandinavian country as they reached their first-ever major finals in Euro 2020 but had to settle for 25 minutes as the Finns beat the French 2-0.
Finland ran out victors thanks to first-half strikes from two debutants in a famous night in Paris and the Stade de France.
Brentford striker Marcus Forss opened the scoring for the talented Finnish side before only two minutes later Pafos midfielder Onni Valakari had the Finland team dreaming.
Despite boasting a starting XI which included the likes Paul Pogba, Olivier Giroud and Wissam Ben Yedder, World Champions France could not break the resolve of the Finnish side.
Even bringing on the likes of Barcelona’s Antoine Griezmann or Man United’s Anthony Martial couldn’t stop the Scandinavians holding out for a famous victory.
What a rise it has been for Glen Kamara who over the course of the last 18 months has exploded onto the domestic, European and international scenes.
Widely regarded as one of the nation’s most influential players, Kamara has been pivotal to the shaping and moulding of this exciting team’s early success.
Famously signed for £50k from Dundee in the January of 2019, Kamara has grown into a composed, technically astute and intelligent midfield player at Ibrox.

One of the first names on the team sheet in club’s biggest matches, Kamara regularly steals the show against the likes of Celtic and in the Europa League.
