Rangers defender Connor Goldson scored the side’s third goal against Ross County in what turned out to be a disappointing 3-3 draw, however, it was the Englishman’s celebrations that prompted questions over his future.
As Goldson ran away to celebrate his header to put the Ibrox side ahead in the match, he held up the club crest to the traveling fans and gave a look that indicates that his future could still remain in Glasgow.

There is absolutely no doubt about it that the defender can still play a vital role at the club. Although the contract scenario has been rumbling on since the start of the season, Goldson is still a key asset for Rangers.

Rangers will only be able to offer him so much and with the spending power of teams in England, even in the Championship, they may make him an offer that is ultimately too good to turn down.
With the player turning 30 before the end of the year, his next deal may well be his last, in hindsight, you can’t blame him if he decided to do what’s best for him and his family.
Regardless of the contract situation, his service to the club and his key role in helping the team to the league title last year will never be forgotten, and if he does leave at the end of the current campaign, it will surely be with every supporters best wishes.
Hopefully, van Bronckhorst and Ross Wilson can put an attractive offer on the table and convince Connor Goldson that his future lies in Glasgow.
