Returning to Ibrox this season brought a sigh of relief after Rangers‘ early season form.
The club had been forced to play their ‘home’ matches at Hampden Park following the boardroom’s errors regarding the stadium development.
The Copland Road stand was to be fixed up but a delay in materials being shipped to Glasgow prevented the work being done in a timely manner and caused a nightmare few months for the club.
Work continued and was only finished somewhat recently with supporters finally being able to return to their regular seats to cheer on their squad on the pitch.

But it was an unnecessary upheaval and one now-former chairman John Bennett expressly apologised for when he addressed the support before he stood down.
Now the club are back at their real, proper home, work can get restarted on other elements which have had to take a back seat to accommodate the workload on the stand.
And one particular job to be done is open the advertised G51 Sports Bar which was initially promised for ‘early 2024’.
The club promised a fresh and exciting new place for fans to enjoy on a matchday to improve experience for the support.
The Copland Road stand at Ibrox caused hefty delays for the club
But now Four Lads Had a Dream have confirmed via their social media channels that the opening of the bar was “shelved” during the havoc that was the Copland Road stand.
Responding to a query on their X account it was confirmed that despite the club having all licences and documentation secured to potentially expedite the process, it had to sit on the back burner.
4 Lads wrote: “Everything was shelved to fix the Copland, there has been no official update since club confirmed they had all necessary licences”.
Fans are asking about the G51 Sports bar and plans to open
Philippe Clement and his players were beaming to be able to return to Ibrox having struggled at the national stadium, to an extent.
Gers’ Champions League campaign was ended there by Dynamo Kiev but at Ibrox the club have maintained their winning ways.
