Reported Rangers target Dominic Solanke may be set to stay in England after reported interest from the likes of Huddersfield and Crystal Palace.

According to Sky Sports, the Premier League duo are battling it out for Solanke’s signature.

Palace are in dire need of a centre forward and better attacking options. Solanke would be offered the chance to play in the Premier League and Liverpool might view this as a strong move for him.

Huddersfield boss David Wagner is a close friend of Jurgen Klopp’s and this could also sway things in favour of a move to West Yorkshire. Sky Sports News first reported the Huddersfield interest back in November.

Rangers too are in dire need of striking options. Solanke would bring real quality to the club and league, and there’s no doubts Rangers offer a better option in terms of exposure to high pressure, big club mentality.

For the other two teams, he may well be involved in a relegation dogfight. At Rangers, he’ll be competing for trophies. In the same way he would be at Liverpool.

It remains to be seen where Solanke will end up come January. But one thing is almost certain. The striker is definitely going to be on the move.

Is Dominic Solanke the answer to Rangers issues up front? Or should we look towards a more permanent move like one for this exciting European goalscorer?
