Rangers have sent a message to bluenose Tom Stoltman on Twitter after his dramatic World’s Strongest Man victory in California on Sunday.

The 27-year-old won the prestigious accolade for the first time after triumphing over four-time champion Brian Shaw in a dramatic final event.

Stoltman had held a considerable lead in the competition after the first day, only for Shaw to fight back.

But the 6ft 8″ Rangers fan produced a brilliant performance in an Atlas Stones showdown with his American rival to take the crown.

The Invergordon-born strongman completed the event in 20.21 seconds and is the first Briton to take the world title since Eddie Hall in 2017.

Tom’s brother Luke also made the finals and finished in seventh place.

The victory is an incredible achievement and Rangers were quick to congratulate the well-known Bear.

“Congratulations to the World’s Strongest Man from the World’s Most Successful Club,” tweeted the Gers. “Tom Stoltman, one of our own.”

The post was popular with supporters, racking up close to 5k likes by the time of writing.

By winning the title, Tom went one better than he did in the 2020 edition of the competition when he finished second to Oleksii Novikov of Ukraine.

Rangers also tweeted a message to a star player ahead of international duty last night, but while his dream came true, his night would ultimately end in disappointment.
