Rangers have congratulated Nikola Katic for his call up to the Croatia U21 squad for the upcoming U21s European Championships.
The Balkans born youngster will have a hard act to follows after the main side reached last summer’s World Cup final. But with Nikola Katic in defence, they’ll be hoping to give it a good go.
Rangers sent their congratulations to the player on the club’s official Twitter account.

Nikola Katic was given time off a week early to prepare for the tournament. Rangers felt it was important the player got at least some down time as a busy international summer will clash with an early season start for Rangers.
The Ibrox club is set to compete in Europa League qualifiers as early as July. That means Katic has had the chance to relax before the tournament kicks off.
The U21s European Championship kicks off on the 16th of June and is being hosted by Italy and San Marino.
And Katic will be up against it from the off in a tough group. Croatia will have to overcome England, France and Romania to progress from the group stage.
The big Croatian is also not the only Gers player in international action this summer. Scott Arfield was also given early time off as he prepares for the Gold Cup with Canada.
