Rangers loanee Adam Devine suffered late heartbreak as Celtic managed to avoid yet more dropped points with two injury-time goals v Motherwell.
The young Ibrox right-back, 20, is on loan with the Steelmen this season and started the eventual 3-1 defeat at Fir Park against our Old Firm rivals.
And it might’ve been a match to remember for young Adam Devine had Motherwell held out against the Parkhead side, who scored twice in injury time at the end of the match.
It was Devine’s third straight league start for Motherwell and the Rangers Academy graduate will have been disappointed not to inflict yet more damage on our Old Firm rivals.
Adam Devine starts for Motherwell v Celtic
Blair Spittal had given Motherwell a lead at half-time in the match before Adam Idah equalised six minutes after the restart.
The Irish striker then score a crucial goal in the 94th minutes of injury time before Luis Palma rounded off the scoring to cut the gap at the top of the Scottish Premiership to two points.
Interestingly, by this point Adam Devine was off the park for Motherwell with Oli Shaw coming on to replace him, making him powerless to resist a late Celtic comeback.
Heading into the match we spoke about the youngster having a role to play in the title hunt this season and Devine will be disappointed not to have taken yet more points off our rivals.
According to Fot Mob, Adam Devine had a 6.8 rating in the match, making six clearances, eight recoveries and winning 100% of his ground duels.

Rangers must keep up Scottish Premiership pressure
After Rangers had hammered Hearts 5-0 at Ibrox, the pressure was on Celtic to respond in Lanarkshire against Motherwell.
As the Parkhead side looked destined to head for yet more dropped points, they were reserved by a late double which keeps them within touching distance of Rangers.
The Gers have been on relentless form under Philippe Clement and Celtic have been largely unable to match them in recent weeks.
There’s a nervousness around the Parkhead side which isn’t there at Ibrox and something tells us we just need to keep biding our time and doing our business.
All is not well in the eastend of the city and, after hanging on against Motherwell, they will need to improve for bigger tests on the horizon.
