Rangers scored a landslide off-field victory over Celtic by recording over three and a half times as many social media engagements as their rivals in May [Deportes&Finanzas].
The Gers dominated the Hoops on the pitch over the 2020/21 season, winning four of the five Old Firms and wrapping up a 55th top-flight title two months before the end of the season.
It was a remarkable achievement for Steven Gerrard, the rest of the coaching staff and the players, following a decade of hurt for the club’s fan base.
Importantly, the club are also taking advantage of the on-field success to push on in other areas.
Many new lucrative partnerships were struck over the course of the campaign and the Gers’ media team relentlessly created content across multiple platforms with great success.
Rangers have been consistently reaching far more people than any other Scottish club in recent months, with a record 9.56m engagements coming in March, the month in which the title was secured.
Unsurprisingly, numbers have dropped a little since then, but in a Deportes&Finanzas update provided on Tuesday, the Gers were still shown to have trounced their fiercest rivals in the month of May.
The Light Blues recorded 7.07m engagements, over three and a half times the 1.92m achieved by Celtic.

Clearly, there are no physical awards for off-field achievements such as these.
Yet, it’s still significant that month after month, Rangers are reaching several million more people than the Hoops, helping to further rebuild the club’s standing and reestablish its status as Scotland’s premier club.
