Rangers have reportedly reached out to Bodo/Glimt boss Kjetil Knutsen as the hunt for a new manager at Ibrox continues.
The Gers are currently in the hunt for a new manager after sacking Dutch coach Giovanni van Bronckhorst for falling nine points behind in the Scottish Premiership title race.

Norwegian coach Kjetil Knutsen represents an interesting option for the Ibrox side having overseen the dramatic development of Bodo/Glimt over the last four seasons.
Not only did Knutsen guide Bodo/Glimt to their two first ever Eliteserien titles, but the coach has also took them into Europe and made an impression in the Europa Conference League last season and the Europa League this campaign.
Rangers apparently sound out Kjetil Knutsen
One of the highest rated coaches in Scandinavia, Knutsen’s success at Bodo/Glimt has apparently piqued Rangers’ interest with the Ibrox club looking to speak with him.
At least that’s according to the 4th Official, who’ve claimed that Knutsen is one of three managers interesting Rangers at present.
The Norwegian coach is apparently joined by Michael Beale and Sean Dyche on the Ibrox club’s shortlist.
The claims come despite Kjetil Knutsen reaffirming his commitment to Bodo/Glimt only a few weeks ago, but with all due respect, this was whilst Rangers still had Giovanni van Bronckhorst in charge.
The manager has raised expectations in Norway and is actually under a little pressure after finishing 2nd in the Eliteserien last season, 18 points behind eventual winners Molde.
“Firstly, I have Morten Wivestad as my agent,” said Knutsen.
”I have been clear that now I stand with my head in a pressure cooker, and things that are outside Bodø/Glimt I am completely uninterested in.
“I do not want any enquiries, and I do not answer any telephone calls. I only have 100 per cent focus on Bodø/Glimt.”
But whilst Knutsen has apparently been sounded out, one ex-Rangers man is free to join the club if they come a’knocking.
