Rangers have received a boost ahead of their Europa League knockout round play-off first leg against Borussia Dortmund.
There’s been plenty of uncertainty regarding ticket allocations for a number of Rangers’ fixtures in the competition so far this campaign, including this one.

Rangers receive Dortmund ticket boost
However, on Tuesday, the club confirmed that they have been allocated 500 tickets for the match [Rangers.co.uk].
It’s a relatively small number but that’s because the capacity has been capped at 10,000 due to restrictions in Germany, so Rangers have still received the customary 5% allocation.
Having a few hundred fans is much better than having none at all, as was the case for the Old Firm at Celtic Park last week.
And the 500 travelling Bears who are lucky enough to get their hands on a ticket will no doubt make enough noise to be mistaken for 5000.
While it limits the number of tickets for Rangers fans, the reduced capacity of 10,000 also constitutes a major boost for Gio van Bronckhorst’s men.
Dortmund fans have a reputation for creating a brilliant atmosphere at the Westfalenstadion or Signal Iduna Park, as it’s officially known.

For this game, though, while the German giants will still have home advantage, the atmosphere won’t be nearly as intimidating for the visitors as it may have been had around 80,000 fans been packed in.
High-profile January signing Aaron Ramsey could also be fully fit by the time the fixture comes around.
The Juventus loanee made his Rangers debut as a substitute against Hearts at the weekend and has another week of training as well as fixtures against Hibs and Annan Athletic to potentially feature in before flying out to Germany with the squad.
Meanwhile, a Rangers star has received a significant accolade after being ‘far too much to handle’.
