Rangers will face one of the hottest properties in Europe when they come up against RB Leipzig striker Christopher Nkunku in their upcoming Europa League semi-final.
The versatile forward is a product of the PSG academy but now the French giants will be ruing letting the 24-year-old Frenchman go as he emerges as one of the most potent forwards in European football.
Making 78 appearances in total for the Ligue 1 club, Christopher Nkunku has gone on to become a key player for RB Leipzig since joining in 2019 and a driving force in their Europa League dream.
This season the Bundesliga star has been electric form for RB Leipzig, netting 30 goals and laying on 20 assists in only 45 games this campaign [Transfermarkt].
This includes seven strikes in six Champions League matches and three in four in the Europa League.
Rangers will have one eye on nullifying the threat of Christopher Nkunku in particular if they harbour any ambitions of making Seville in May.
The striker’s form hasn’t gone unnoticed around Europe either.

Manchester United are the club said to be heading the list of teams interested as they target a summer rebuild with Arsenal and Inter Milan also mentioned [Daily Mail].
United head the queue courtesy of current manager Ralf Rangnick, who brought Christopher Nkunku to RB Leipzig and who will move into a consultancy role when Erik ten Hag becomes Old Trafford boss in the summer.
But whilst RB Leipzig harbour hopes of keeping him around next campaign – their chief executive Oliver Mintzlaff declaring he will “play for us next season” – the German side are said to have an asking price of £52m for the striker [SportBILD].

But before any summer move can transpire, Rangers will be facing off against Christopher Nkunku for a place in the Europa League final.
As RB Leipzig look to make history of their own, nullifying the Frenchman may be the difference between European glory and glorious defeat.
Meanwhile, one high-profile Rangers star may have played his final game for the club.
