Rangers players and staff have responded on Instagram after Ryan Jack posted to mark his long-awaited return to training.
Jack hasn’t played for club or country since 21 February due to injury.
It’s been a long stint on the sidelines for the 29-year-old, who is a key player for both Steven Gerrard and Scotland boss Steve Clarke.
However, he was given the green light to return to full training with the first team on Friday and fans were buzzing when they heard the news.
Jack shared two snaps from the session on Instagram and captioned the post: “Big step in the journey today, what a felling (sic) to be back with the lads, still a lot of hard work to go.”
Unsurprisingly, the post went down extremely well with supporters and by the time of writing, it had racked up over 18k likes.
A number of Rangers players and staff also took the opportunity to show support to the midfielder.
Steven Davis commented with clapping emojis, Scott Wright left love heart eyes and a blue heart emoji and Leon Balogun replied with three star-struck emojis.
John Lundstram wrote ‘love it’, while coach Tom Culshaw replied ‘Jacko Lad’ with a muscle emoji and Andy Firth said ‘JAAAAAAAAACKKSSOOONNN’ before adding love heart eyes and a blue heart emoji.
It will still be at least a few weeks before Jack is ready to make a matchday squad, but the comments on his post make it clear that it’s not just the fans who’re delighted to see him closing in on a return.
