Rangers piled on the agony over our rivals last night as the club was videoed blaring newly adopted Ibrox anthem Live It Up over the stadium’s tannoy.
The 80s track made famous by Aussie band Mental as Anything shot up the Ibrox charts just before Christmas as the club’s fans began to celebrate the imminent arrival of 55 this season.

The adoption of the anthem captured the imagination of the global press with the band themselves even thanking Gers fans for adopting the song nearly a year on from the passing of their frontman.
Ahead of the clash with Royal Antwerp, Rangers legend Ally McCoist uploaded a video to his Instagram account which showed him and Darrell Currie getting ready for the game.
Both were covering the match for BT Sport and the video caught Rangers blaring the tune from the club’s speaker system with it reverberating around Ibrox.
The song has become a symbol of the party atmosphere building inside the Rangers support and the fact the club are now playing it in Ibrox just piles on the agony for our rivals.
Anyone tuning in is going to have to get used to it too – Rangers have heady ambitions in this year’s competition and will be hoping for a favourable draw this afternoon.
The Gers ran out 5-2 winners courtesy of goals from Alfredo Morelos, Nathan Patterson, Ryan Kent, Borna Barisic and Cedric Itten.
