Rangers kid Nathan Patterson stole the headlines as the right-back roared back from a high-profile Covid-19 breach to score the second goal of Rangers’ five in a 5-2 win over Royal Antwerp.

It was quite the stage for the 19-year-old to haul back some credibility amongst the Ibrox legions with his strike coming just seconds after being introduced at half-time.

That goal fired Rangers in front to make it 2-1 and the rest is history – just like Patterson’s misdemeanours are likely to be after the result.

But one set of salty supporters are particularly unhappy that Patterson was even allowed on the pitch to score the goal.

The full-back is awaiting the outcome of an SFA investigation into that party with four other Ibrox stars with a ban expected for the youngster.

But this won’t affect European duties with Rangers already accepting a public apology from Patterson, Calvin Bassey and South African international Bongani Zungu [Rangers].

All three were back in the squad for the visit of the Belgians – even if Patterson stole the show – with fans of our rivals Celtic were left sick on Twitter after the youngster’s strike.

It’s good to know so many of our friends to the east were tuning in and their saltiness over Patterson’s strike is oh so surprisingly sweet:

Hahahahahhaha enjoy watching the Bears take on some of the biggest clubs in Europe Celtic fans, this is how it feels to be Rangers.

Rangers fans have forgiven Nathan Patterson for his part in the Covid-19 breach after he sent the club on their way in the second half of the match.
