Rangers’ kit and retail partners Castore are set to open their new Glasgow store tomorrow (Thursday).

The British brand’s operation has expanded at a remarkable rate since they signed a multi-year deal with the Gers back in May 2020.

They are now also working with Premier League clubs Wolves and Newcastle United, while major deals have been struck with McLaren F1 and the ECB.

A number of Rangers Stores have opened, with one at Ibrox, another in Belfast and the latest at Glasgow Airport.

But there have been plans in place for some time to also open a Castore Store in Glasgow City Centre, to add to existing outlets in London, Liverpool and Newcastle.

‘Opening in the heart of Glasgow City Centre, the new Castore store exists for one single reason – to make athletes better,’ reads their promotional email.

‘This store will open on Thursday 14 October at 9am (BST) and will include all the popular ranges Castore has to offer. Starting from the technically advanced Garcia, to the brand new AW21 Men’s and Women’s Active range and much more.’

It’ll be interesting to see how the store fares over the coming weeks and months.

Plenty of Rangers fans are pleased with the kit designs Castore have come up with so far and the range of Gers-branded products now available both online and in stores.

However, there have been some issues with distribution and quality since the partnership was struck and the high prices of Castore products continues to be a source of frustration for many supporters
