Fashion Sakala tweeted a passionate message after making his Rangers debut in Saturday’s 0-0 pre-season draw with Brighton and Hove Albion at Ibrox.
The Gers dominated the majority of the match but were unable to find a way through their Premier League opponents, with Cedric Itten seeing an effort cleared off the line and John Lundstram hitting the crossbar.

After Wednesday’s fixture against Blackpool had been cancelled, though, the playing time was more important than the result.
Specifically, for new signing Fashion Sakala, there was finally an opportunity to take to the pitch as a Rangers player.
The former KV Oostende forward played the final 27 minutes after replacing Itten and showed glimpses of his pace and ability in the final third.
After the match, he tweeted an action shot alongside the caption: “GOD BLESS. I’m very proud to wear this shirt @RangersFC for the first time and very happy to get 30 minutes in the tank. Happy to see our fans at Ibrox.”
Fans are excited about what the Zambia international will bring to Rangers this season but Steven Gerrard has called for patience, given that his preparations have been heavily disrupted.
“Fashion is only a week in and that’s after being in a hotel room for ten days, which is tough,” said the Gers boss [RangersTV].
“With time and more games, and as he gets used to us and our style, he will get better and better.”

It’s a quick turnaround to Sunday evening’s final pre-season fixture against Real Madrid and Sakala will be hoping for a second appearance to build his confidence up further ahead of next weekend’s Premiership opener against Livingston.
A superb RangersTV lineup has been confirmed for the Real Madrid friendly.
