The fixture comes just 24 hours after a mixed strength Rangers side drew 0-0 with Premier League club Brighton and Hove Albion at the same venue.

After only appearing as late substitutes against the Seagulls, it’s likely that key men such as James Tavernier, Connor Goldson, Steven Davis and Ryan Kent will start the match.

A glamour friendly against the 13-time champions of Europe requires strong coverage and based on the confirmed matchday lineup, it looks as though that will be provided by RangersTV.

Emma Dodds will be hosting for the second consecutive day and will once again be joined by Ibrox hero Neil McCann, with former Gers right-back Alan Hutton replacing Alex Rae.

There’s also set to be one change in the commentary box, with former Light Blues midfielder and current Kelty Hearts manager Kevin Thomson replacing Gordon Smith as Clive Tyldesley’s co-commentator.

The coverage is available on a pay-per-view basis for £9.99, or through a RangersTV pre-season pass or an unlimited subscription.

It’s a quality lineup, so if you aren’t one of the thousands of supporters finally returning to Ibrox to see the action in the flesh, the RangersTV coverage should be a good alternative.

After Saturday’s friendly against Brighton, the Premier League side sent a classy message to the Light Blues.
