Rangers made history in Gibraltar tonight as their 4-0 win away to St. Joseph’s in Europa League QR1 made the Ibrox side the first Scottish club to win on the British Overseas Territory.
It was a dominating, fluid performance were Rangers hit four goals in a rampant second half.
As admirably as the European minnows defended in the first half they couldn’t contend with Rangers in the second.
Ryan Jack, Sheyi Ojo, Borna Barisic and Alfredo Morelos all found the net as Rangers’ free-flowing play carved St. Joseph’s open time and time again.
The club will also claim a minor victory in being the first Scottish side in history to win on the Rock.
Celtic were of course beaten 1-0 by St. Joseph’s local rivals Lincoln Red Imps in Brendan Rodgers first game in charge back in 2016.
But the club’s biggest reward is taking a considerable advantage back home to Ibrox for the return leg next week.
It will give Steven Gerrard the chance to rotate his squad and give those players whom he might not have played otherwise the chance to experience a raucous Ibrox.

The same goes for young players like Josh McPake or Stephen Kelly, who’ll relish the opportunity to play in front of a packed Ibrox should they get the chance.
Rangers now face a glamour friendly with Marseille at the weekend before the return leg at Ibrox next Thursday (18th).
