Rangers loanees James Maxwell and Dapo Mebude scored in a superb comeback win for Queen of the South over Arbroath on Saturday but SFA punishment beckons for the latter.
There were five Gers loanees involved in the fixture at Gayfield Park, with Ben Williamson starting in midfield for the hosts, while Maxwell, Rhys Breen and Ciaran Dickson started for the visitors, with Mebude initially named on the bench.

It was Arbroath who looked much the better of the two sides in the opening stages and they were two goals to the good by the 22nd minute.
It was an SPFL debut to forget for Dickson, who was hooked in the 26th minute and replaced by Mebude, with manager Allan Johnston not prepared to wait until half-time to change things.
What transpired in the remarkable twenty-minute period that followed proved his decision-making to be spot on.

Ayo Obileye pulled one back in the 33rd minute, Maxwell equalised five minutes later and then Mebude put QoS in front in injury time.
Maxwell showed determination to get into the box from left-back before firing home a rebound, while Mebude’s first professional goal was a tap-in at the back post [Qosfc.com].

After a frantic first half, things settled a little in the second period and there would only be one further goal, with Ayo Obileye notching his second to give the visitors some breathing space.
The stunning comeback delivered a fourth win in a row for Johnston’s side, who are fourth in the Championship, while the Rangers loan duo will no doubt have been delighted to get on the scoresheet.
It could be Mebude’s last outing for some time, though, given that he and four other Rangers players – Bongani Zungu, Nathan Patterson, Calvin Bassey and Brian Kinnear – are all expected to receive SFA bans at some stage this week for breaching Covid regulations in February.
Three more Rangers Academy prospects headed out on loan over the weekend.
