Rangers loanee Jak Alnwick is experiencing an excellent run of form with Scunthorpe United.
Last week, Iron manager, Stuart McCall, said he expected the keeper to stay at the League One outfit, until the end of the season.

The surprise arrival of Andy Firth at Ibrox from AFC Barrow, seemed to confirm that.
An extended stay is likely to suit all parties, but it wasn’t always going swimmingly south of the border.
At the end of December, Scunthorpe sat in 23rd place, second from bottom of the third tier.

They had lost their last seven matches, and had failed to score in six of those defeats. The defensive woes were even worse, and reflected badly on the Gers keeper.
On his watch, there had been no clean sheet in 16 matches. A truly appalling record.

Yet, a month is a long time in football.
Since then, Alnwick and co have turned it around.
Remarkably, they are unbeaten in their last six matches, winning five.
That run has seen them jump nine positions up the table, to 14th.

The most recent of those was a 1-0 away win at Fleetwood Town over the weekend.
It was Alnwick’s third clean sheet of the month.
Clearly, major issues have been resolved at both ends of the pitch.
As the window draws to a close, it certainly looks as though the 25-year-old is staying put.
However, he is still contracted until 2021, so we might not have seen the last of him in a Rangers shirt, yet.
