Rangers loanee Greg Docherty nabbed a late consolation goal for his struggling Shrewsbury Town side as they fell to a 2-1 defeat away to Rochdale.
The energetic midfielder has had a great season at Shrewsbury. But his adopted side have struggled so far this season. This result leaves them one point and one place off the relegation zone in 20th.
The defeat will be a particularly tough one to take given Rochdale are actually below Shrewsbury Town in the table (22nd).

It’s been an eventful year for Docherty at Shrewsbury. The midfielder joined the Shropshire club at the beginning of the season on a year loan and has become a favourite with their fans.
The midfielder now has eight goals and ten assists in 39 games. Still only 22, it’s a solid return for the player and will bode him well for his return to Ibrox in the summer.
Doc almost inspired an FA Cup upset against Premier League Wolves this season too. His performances in that competition earned him rave reviews from Manchester United legend Paul Ince.
