If Rangers fans didn’t need any more reasons to be sceptical over a move for free agent Jack Wilshere – he’s been snapped training at an infamous bogey training camp for the Ibrox club.

As Wilshere steps up his hunt for a new club the ex-England international midfielder, 28, is putting himself through his pace at the renowned Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex in Dubai.

Yes, the same Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex in Dubai which Rangers used as a training camp last season before the club’s title race fell apart.

Rangers flew off to the Middle East during last season’s winter break and – similarly to the season before that in Portugal – collapsed under the weight of expectation upon returning.

It’s not a complex which holds many good memories for Rangers fans and one considered a bit of a bogey camp by the Gers fans as a result.

Wilshere is a free agent following his release from West Ham and pertains that he is fit as he hunts for a new side.

Rangers have been routinely mentioned alongside the midfielder with a source close to Wilshere telling the Press Association he’d be open to a move.

So far there has been nothing concrete in any of the reported interest but a report in Portugal has claimed that Valencia pulled out of the race for the ex-Arsenal man because he is holding out for a move to Rangers [Record].

Rangers fans have previously asked the player if he fancies the move to Glasgow – but they might be having second thoughts after the mere mention of the term Dubai training complex.
