Darius Olaru has been the subject of interest from Rangers before and the FCSB skipper continues to be a huge influence for the Romanians, even if owner Gigi Becali isn’t always happy with him, as told to Digisport:

Olaru release clause should see Rangers rekindle interest

Becali might not like it, but it is good captaincy from Olaru, but the owner has claimed that the FCSB skipper won’t be walking out onto the Ibrox pitch on Thursday.
Not only this, with 10 goals and five assists in 18 appearances this season, the 26-year old Romania international is posting the sort of numbers that Diomande, Tom Lawrence and Nedim Bajrami should be aiming for.
With a fractured relationship at his club, Olaru might be keen to move.
On a reported £16,500 per week, he is on a similar wage to Kieran Dowell – just to put things into perspective.
His release clause fee, also detailed by Becali, is a little under £4.2m, similar to what was paid for Diomande.
Rangers lack of funds isn’t the biggest obstacle to success, it’s spending the money correctly.
With the midfield needing some work, Olaru’s name should be back on the shopping list.
