Rangers have learned when they will play their Premiership top six post-split fixtures.
After 33 games played this season, Scotland’s top-flight will split in half with the top six teams facing each other and the bottom teams battling it out to survive relegation.
Rangers, of course, will finish in the top six and will look to wrap up Champions League qualification by finishing at least second in the table.

The SPFL have now confirmed the five key matchdays for the post-split fixtures. The first round of top six post-split games will take place on April 26/27 and will end on May 17.
The governing body have noted that the Premiership’s top six can be confirmed this weekend, but three particular results must occur in order for that to happen.

SPFL confirm Rangers post-split matchdays
The SPFL say that the post-split fixtures will be published as soon as possible after both halves of the table are locked in.
A statement from the governing body reads as follows: “The SPFL has today announced some key dates for the end of the season, with the William Hill Premiership post-split dates and SPFL play-offs confirmed.
“Fixture round 34 of the William Hill Premiership will take place on the weekend of April 26/27 and round 35 will be played on the weekend of May 3/4. Premiership round 36 is scheduled for the weekend of May 10/11, with round 37 on the midweek of May 13/14.
“The top-six fixtures will conclude on Saturday May 17, kick-off 12.30pm, with the bottom-six games being played on Sunday May 18, kick-off 3.00pm.
“The top six in the William Hill Premiership could be confirmed this weekend but only if Heart of Midlothian defeat Dundee United at Tynecastle on Sunday and both Motherwell and St Mirren lose away to Kilmarnock and Dundee on Saturday, otherwise the split will be determined after the round 33 games next weekend.
“In either scenario, the SPFL will look to publish the post-split fixtures as soon as possible, following discussions with Police Scotland and broadcast partners.”
Calum Beattie, the SPFL’s chief operating officer, commented: “We are set for a hugely exciting end to the season, with league titles, European places and the battle to avoid relegation all on the line before the eagerly-anticipated play-offs begin next month.
“We are pleased to be able to confirm the dates for the post-split fixtures, as well as the play-off schedule and broadcast selections, and are very much looking forward to all the football being played in the weeks ahead.”
What does SPFL announcement mean for Rangers?
Not a great deal, other than Rangers fans can now look to schedule their weekends up until May around the post-split games.
We know that Rangers will likely face Celtic at Ibrox, Hibs at Easter Road and Aberdeen at Pittodrie. It remains to be seen whether Dundee United and Hearts complete the top six.

If United and the Jambos do secure their top half status, there’s a good chance Rangers will play both the Arabs and Hearts at Ibrox. That would mean three home games and two away.
However, the SPFL post-split fixtures computer can throw up some weird and wonderful to accommodate all teams as best as possible, so we’ll have to wait and find out exactly what the script is.
