Rangers midfielder Nicolas Raskin was missing from the matchday squad in the Scottish Premiership game against Celtic on Sunday.
Until the game, Raskin had been the go-to option for Danny Rohl, so his omission came as a big surprise to many.
Rangers ended up losing 3-1 to Celtic, and things could have turned out differently for them had they had the Belgium international in the middle of the park.
Nicolas Raskin has been linked with a Rangers exit…
Nicolas Raskin missed the Celtic clash due to injury
Stevie Clifford, who runs the Four Lads Had a Dream blog, is a well-known Ibrox insider, and he has played down claims of the 25-year-old falling out with the manager.
The real reason why Raskin was missing against Celtic was that he suffered a hamstring injury.
While Clifford has not specified the seriousness of the injury, he claims that it was a small one.

However, there is nothing that has happened behind the scenes that saw Rohl punishing him and completely omitting him from the matchday squad at Parkhead on Sunday.
Via X, Clifford wrote: “Seen it mentioned a few times on socials today that Nico Raskin has had a fall out with Danny Rohl which is why he was left out.
“This is completely untrue for what it’s worth
“Nico has a slight hamstring issue, hasn’t trained for the last three days.”
Danny Rohl could leave amid links to RB Salzburg…
Who do you see replacing him?
Has Raskin played his last game for Rangers?
There is every possibility that Raskin’s injury could keep him out for the remaining two games.
While Clifford mentions it as a “slight” issue, some injuries look minor initially, but later develop into ones that can sideline players for a few more days or weeks.
There is also not much to play for in the next two matches and the 25-year-old has a World Cup to look forward to in a month’s time.
Who should Danny Rohl name as the next captain? Let us know in the comments!
He is likely to be advised not to push himself so as to be in the best condition possible for the Belgian squad.
Raskin is also not likely to sign a new contract, so the Light Blues may look at this summer as the ideal time to cash in on him.
The midfielder could fast-track his Rangers exit as it seems highly likely that there will be no Champions League football at Ibrox next season.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for him, but one cannot rule out the possibility that he’s played his last game for the Gers.
