Rangers have been boosted by the news that the club’s two biggest assets in striker Alfredo Morelos and winger Ryan Kent have reportedly committed their short-term futures to the club.

Ahead of what many are predicting is going to be a busy summer at Ibrox the futures of the club’s two biggest assets are routinely mused over the press.

This wasn’t helped by Alfredo Morelos reiterating his “dream” to play in the Premier League and potential “opportunities” to do so come the summer.

Morelos has been routinely linked with an exit from Ibrox and the club of course turned down a reported £16m offer from Lille last summer with the Gers believed to value the Colombian at £20m.

According to a report in the 4th Official – where the blog cites sources close to the striker – Morelos “wants to stay” at Ibrox for a crack at the Champions League.

Kent’s situation hasn’t been helped by continuing links to long-term admirers Leeds United with reports this week that the 12-goal winger was once again interesting the Premier League side.

According to the Scottish Sun and journalist Alan Nixon, Leeds are set to test Rangers’ resolve with a £15m bid this summer having had a £10m rejected last year.

Kent’s form this season is bound to have gathered interest with the winger playing so well ex-Gers midfielder Alex Rae valued the ex-Liverpool wide man at £25m.

Football Insider are claiming that Kent wants to stay in Glasgow for at least another year, feeling a loyalty to Gerrard and the club from recent seasons.

Whatever the case having two top class players who’ve been rated at a cool £45m sticking around the club certainly can’t be bad news for Rangers.

One striker who was linked to the Gers last summer is reportedly on a shortlist to replace a superstar forward attracting interest from the Premier League.
