The Daily Mail reports that Rangers have had a bid rejected for George Edmundson.
The 6ft 3″ centre-back [Transfermarkt] is said to be a target for multiple clubs after a breakout 2018-19 season.

Having previously been limited mainly to loan stints in the National League, he turned out 50 times for Oldham in League Two last season.
He helped the Latics to 14th position, scoring twice along the way.
It’s reported that Rangers offered something in the region of his £450,000 asking price, but with several other clubs said to be interested, Oldham are now holding out for more.

Verdict
This is an early blow for Gerrard and will test how much he actually wants the 21-year-old.
It’s clear there are funds to spend this summer. Last week, Director of Football, Mark Allen, acknowledged the need to strengthen [RangersTV].

With Joe Worrall and Gareth McAuley set to leave Ibrox, centre-back is an area of the squad that will soon look particularly bare.
However, there isn’t a bottomless pit of cash and the Gers would do well to void a bidding war.
It will be interesting to see whether or not Rangers come back in for Edmundson, and if they do, how far much they are willing to spend.
