Therefore, after Gerrard’s side face Kilmarnock on Sunday, he will be due back at his parent club.
Based on recent selections, it’s unlikely the 6ft 4′ centre-back will wear the famous jersey again.
He had been Steven Gerrard’s preferred partner for Connor Goldson. However, once it became clear that the Gers could no longer win any silverware, Nikola Katic was brought back in his place.

Therefore, it’s been no doubt a frustrating few months for Worrall on the sidelines.
Despite his recent exclusions from the starting XI, though, he has still mustered 31 appearances for Rangers.

Some of those outings have been forgettable. His error at Kilmarnock in the first game back from the winter break was extremely costly in the context of the league season. For that, he was slaughtered by Rangers fans.

However, there have been some positives too. A maiden goal against Aberdeen at Pittodrie in the cup and impressive displays resulting in clean sheets against both Villarreal and Celtic at Ibrox.
A mixed season, then, but when the defender jokingly replied to a club tweet about his celebrations after Scott Arfield’s Old Firm goal, plenty of Bears took the opportunity to thank him for his efforts and wish him well for the future.
