Rangers star Borna Barisic could be affected as his Croatia teammate Domagoj Vida tested positive for Covid-19 – after playing 45 minutes against Turkey.
Centre-back Vida, 31, played the first half of the Balkans nation’s 3-3 draw with Turkey as the Croats went into half-time 2-1 down.

All players and staff had tested negative going into the fixture – which took place in Istanbul – but a further test on Wednesday morning found captain Vida to be positive.
The Croatian medical team did not receive the results until the end of the half-time rest period in the friendly match, where the Besiktas defender had already been subbed off for Filip Uremovic.
As Vida was off the pitch the medics isolated the defender and performed another test.
Another member of the Croatian entourage has also tested positive but on a statement on the nation’s official website, they say “he was not in contact with national team members or staff members” [HNS].
That statement also confirmed that Vida would “spend the next few days in self-isolation in Istanbul” as the rest of the team travel to Sweden for their UEFA Nations League match on Saturday.
Rangers star Barisic did not get off the bench in the friendly win which means he would not have been in close contact with Vida during the pulsating 3-3 draw.

However the first-team Rangers full-back, 28, would have been in training with Vida in the run-up to the match and the Ibrox club face a nervous wait to see if Barisic will be affected by an outbreak.
Could Rangers finally be about to get caught up with Covid-19 issues after largely managing to evade them this season?
