Rangers Academy graduate Jamie Barjonas has signed a new contract at Ibrox the club’s fans eager to see more of what the 20-year-old can bring to Ibrox.
The youngster – who spent last season on two seperate loan spells at both Bury and Raith Rovers – has extended his deal until 2021 giving him a chance to “continue his development and realise his potential” [Rangers].
Making his debut at Ibrox against Partick Thistle as an 18-year-old in 2017, he has made a further eight appearances for the club he has been at since he was nine-years-old.
“This season has been good for me, I had a strong pre-season so the gaffer moved me up to the first-team and I am really enjoying every minute of it,” said Barjonas [Rangers].
“To get the contract signed and stay for another year is brilliant for me and my family.”
The Rangers supporters have been quick to congratulate Barjonas, with the Ibrox legions loving nothing more than the prospect of one of their own making it in Glasgow.

Steven Gerrard too has been singing Barjonas’ praises after getting the Gers youngster tied down on a new deal.
“Jamie moved up to the first team squad only this season and we’ve been impressed with his progress so far,” said Gerrard.
“We believe that he is in the right environment to continue his development and realise his potential.”
This deal follows the tying down of Ryan Jack and Nikola Katic on new deals this month.
