Some Rangers fans want their side “pulling out the stops” to sign Hibs striker Kevin Nisbet after the forward scored his second goal in as many matches against Celtic.

The potent striker has handled the step up to Hibs spectacularly so far and leads the Scottish Premiership’s scoring charts alongside Gers captain James Tavernier with 11 strikes and has 13 in all competitions.

Only 23, Nisbet has previously been linked with a move to Rangers who were reportedly watching the poacher’s progress at Dunfermline last season [Glasgow Times].

Nisbet managed an impressive 23-goal haul for the Pars last season and there was plenty of interest in the striker this summer.

The striker reportedly had offers from Hearts and Hibs on the table, but the striker would take the Scottish Premiership option and since then hasn’t looked back.

Premier League outfit Sheffield United are one name reportedly interested in Nisbet’s services but Hibs hope to retain the player in January [Scottish Sun].

Nisbet himself commented on the transfer interest, which he called “flattering” but played a move down stating “I’m a Hibs player and that’s it really” [Northern Echo].

At some point it feels like Scottish international hopeful Nisbet will move on to bigger things than Easter Road with many Rangers fans feeling that should be at Ibrox:

Nisbet might be a target in the eyes of supporters but there’s been no official suggestion from Ibrox that they could move for the forward.

However, there is one Scottish Premiership talent reportedly interest the Bears, with some links suggesting a swap deal may be on the cards.
