After Wednesday night’s defeat at Kilmarnock, Steven Gerrard and Joe Worrall came in for stinging criticism.
Gerrard, was lambasted for his post-match comments. Worrall, for a howler which swung momentum firmly towards the home side.

They weren’t the only ones, though.
Few of the players covered themselves in glory at Rugby Park.
James Tavernier, as usual, took a lot of stick.
In his post-match interview, he looked a little shell shocked by the result, and labelled the performance “embarrassing.”
“We can’t perform like that tonight, when we put in a performance three weeks ago against Celtic, the way we did”, he told RangersTV.
The skipper himself was outstanding in the Old Firm.

Yet, on Wednesday night, he struggled to get involved in the game as much as usual.
Without the presence of Daniel Candeias on the right flank, it was incumbent upon Tav to get forward.
That was only something he managed with regularity in the first 20 minutes and in the closing stages.
It’s fair to say many fans weren’t happy and they made their feelings clear on Twitter.

Once again, I can’t help but feel this is all a little harsh.
The guy was superb in the previous outing and has outstanding stats for a full-back.
Sure, he wasn’t great last night, but he wasn’t the worst out there.
A poor team performance doesn’t make him a terrible skipper.
The odd Bear out there, seems to agree.
