Rumours that Sky Sports have dropped Kris Boyd from covering matches involving Celtic certainly weren’t helped after the ex-Rangers striker wasn’t selected for their 4-0 win over St Mirren.
The former Gers hitman has been infuriating Celtic fans everywhere this season as the beaming striker continues to wind up our hapless rivals over the gap at the top of the table.

This led to Celtic fans publicly venting their frustration at Boyd, with some even launching a petition to have the forward removed from the broadcaster’s coverage.
Rumours then emerged on social media of the complaints having an effect with some Rangers fans asking why they’ve to be exposed to Celtic bias if our rivals can’t handle some from Ibrox.
Boyd would then miss out on Celtic’s victory in Paisley further fuelling rumours that this is the case.
However, a source at the broadcaster has reportedly told the Daily Record that this is categorically not true and Boyd will continue to be used for a variety of matches this season.
The striker has obviously not covered every Celtic game so far this campaign and was employed by Sky Sports for their Gillette Soccer Special coverage of the mid-week games.
However, that didn’t stop Rangers fans goading their soft rivals as they lapped up those Celtic fan tears over the former Gers striker:

Whilst it seems that Sky Sports have reached out to some in the press to confirm this isn’t true, there may be a few Rangers fans out there who don’t buy it until he’s back on the coverage.
Rangers fans too have asked why they’ve to be exposed to two commentators who’ve been widely criticised for bias this season if Boyd can’t commentate on Celtic?
