Rangers striker Cedric Itten was given an opportunity in the Betfred Cup win over Falkirk and many fans are split on the player’s performance.
The big Swiss striker has always been eager to impress since joining the club and at times against the Bairns was perhaps guilty of trying a little too hard in front of goal.

But Itten showed his ability on the ball several times and can be a driving, physical presence on the forward line as we go on this season – something evidenced by his performance away to Kilmarnock.
Rangers fans are very eager to see the former FC St. Gallen striker make his mark in Royal Blue with some expressing frustration over his performance against Falkirk.

Others have rallied to the striker’s defence and demanded fans give the player more time with some members of the Rangers support notoriously unforgiving.

Whatever the case – and even if some fans are undoubtedly being a little harsh – every Rangers fan out there wants the 23-year-old to get into his groove at Ibrox.
But for Itten – a £2.5m summer signing [Scottish Sun] – this is his first move abroad and supporters will need to be patient as he settles into the style of play in Scotland.
Cedric Itten’s performance wasn’t the only thing which caught the eye of Rangers fans either, with the shirt number of an Ibrox debutant also standing out to the support.
