Rangers fans slaughter “biased” Sky Sports pundit for Livi coverage

If watching a drab and uninventive Rangers performance against Livingston wasn’t bad enough for the Ibrox support, they also had to make do with Sky Sports pundit and former Celtic striker Andy Walker.

Rangers could barely force a save out of debutant Livi keeper Max Stryjek with the Ibrox side dominating possession but not testing the keeper enough or creating anywhere near enough chances.

In some strange kind of hell on earth, the eyes of Rangers fans were subjected to torturous sideways passing whilst their ears had to contend with the droning, gleeful voice of ex-Celtic star Andy Walker.

It genuinely was an excruciating 90 minutes with the second half only marginally better than the first and Rangers having no-one to blame but themselves for not picking up three points.

But somebody at Sky Sports must’ve been on the wind-up letting Walker on this match.

If he wasn’t claiming “you can’t possibly” give a penalty for a clear handball as per the rules, Walker was fawning uncontrollably over the only meaningful save Stryjek made all game.

The Polish goalie did very well to get across and save a Borna Barisic free-kick and there was no-one happier inside the Tony Macaroni than Andy Walker.

Having put Super Ally McCoist in their coverage at Pittodrie, Rangers fans are at a loss as to why broadcaster Sky Sports subjected them to the pundit for this match.

Here’s some of the Rangers fans’ responses to Andy Walker’s commentary on Twitter:

The response of Rangers fans – which is almost overwhelming – is in stark contrast to that of the fans’ response to RangersTV.

The Gers have revelled in the club channel’s coverage so far this season and often asked why do we need to be subjected to this kind of partisan coverage from the likes of Walker?
