Rangers sporting director Ross Wilson [Glasgow Times] might’ve suggested the Ibrox side won’t rush into any January signings, but it hasn’t stopped plenty of talk about Feyenoord winger Steven Berghuis.
The talented wideman obviously played against Rangers in the club’s Europa League group this season and is back in Holland after a spell with Watford in the Premier League.
A report from the Dutch website Soccernews.nl highlighted rumours concerning apparent Rangers interest in the 28-year-old, 15 goal winger.

Initially a loan move, the winger signed a four-year deal in 2017.
Given his importance to the de Kuip side, the suggestion Rangers could invest the money required to sign Berghuis appears an outlandish one at best.
Whilst there’s no doubt that the winger would be a top-quality addition to the squad, the Ibrox club’s supporters remain sceptical that Steven Gerrard will move for the player
Here’s a selection of tweets from Rangers fans discussing this unsubstantiated rumour:

The crazy thing is, these rumours surrounding a potential Rangers move for Steven Berghuis aren’t even the most mental of the transfer window so far.
A former Celtic player plying their trade in the English Premier League, anyone?
