Rangers fans have been sending messages of support after the Capo of Ibrox ultras group the Union Bears announced he was stepping down.
Ross McGill is a familiar face to plenty at Ibrox and fans will recognise him as the man behind the megaphone in BF1 and at Union Bears fan marches.

Taking to Twitter, McGill announced that he would stepping down from the role after loyally cheering on the side all the way through Rangers’ journey back to the top of Scottish football.
The weekend’s Scottish Premiership clash with Hibs will be Ross’ final match at the helm of the Union Bears.
“Sunday will be my final game as Capo in BF1,” tweets McGill.
“What a journey it’s been but it’s time for me to step down from this role. Been doing this for a long time and I won’t be able to attend matches as regularly.
“Thanks for so many amazing days & nights in the stands.”
Union Bears Capo set to stand down
The Union Bears have developed massively during Ross’ time as Capo and they are the ones responsible for some remarkable displays and events over the last few years.
Not only this, but the UB are relentless at Ibrox and provide such an important part of the modern Gers atmosphere.
The Ultras group has also grown up a lot over the last few seasons and have taken on added responsibility over what is sung at Ibrox and how it is sung, adding several new classics to the bulging Ibrox songbook.
The so-called singing sections are going to play an increasingly pivotal role going forward and that is no small part down to the contribution of Ross McGill.
Rangers fans – who’ve seen the Union Bears evolve over the last few seasons – paid tribute to Ross for his years of service from the stands:

Someone else will now come in to fill Ross’ boots and Rangers fans will be eager to see the next progression of the Union Bears.
The group also recently handed out its Player of the Year to an Ibrox stalwart who played every single minute last season.
