Exciting Rangers prospect Josh McPake has today left the club on a six-month loan deal.
The 17-year-old drops to the Championship, joining promotion-chasing Dundee.
McPake will wear number 17 during his stint at Dens Park, where he will join forces with former Gers striker, Kane Hemmings.
It’s a move that’s been in the pipeline for a while now, with the versatile attacker spotted in the stands watching his newly adopted side take on Aberdeen at the weekend.
The teenager makes the move after a strong start to the season, too. He scored in the first two rounds of the Tunnock’s Caramel Wafer Cup, as well as in a Development XI friendly against Chelsea U23s.
Most impressively, though, he looked lively when handed his senior competitive debut in the Europa League qualifying tie against St Joseph’s at Ibrox last month.

Dundee have done well to acquire the 2018/19 Gers Academy Player of the Season, who should add firepower in the final third.
After a wretched campaign last time round which saw them relegated to the second tier, new boss James McPake is hoping to lead the Dee back to the top flight at the first time of asking. They’ve started the season positively, collecting four points from their first two outings.
Rangers fans satisfied with McPake loan
Unlike with Glenn Middleton’s switch to Hibs, this seems to be a move Rangers fans are getting behind. There was plenty of positive responses when the announcement was made official by both parties.
