Rangers goalkeeper Allan McGregor has been one of the foundations of the Ibrox club’s legendary 55th title winning team and a video of the goalie at the Player of the Year Awards shows just how much it means to him.
Greegsy might be 39, but the Ibrox goalie was in the form of his life to deny opponents and lead the club to a clean sheet record and the highest ever points total in Ibrox history.
The keeper was essential to the club’s title charge but beyond that, it’s difficult to imagine us achieving the gloss of an unbeaten campaign without McGregor’s heroics.
The goalie has been recognised plenty by the powers that be in Scotland and earned the Scottish Premiership Player of the Year Award and the Rangers Player of the Year award.
Everyone knows how much the Ibrox club means to McGregor and the emotional goalie struggled to put this into words as he collected the gong at the Rangers Player of the Year Awards show.

“I love it (the club) more than anything else, honestly. I’m very emotional. It means so much to me. It does,” said McGregor [RangersTV].
“And to bring 55 home… I’m getting emotional but we’ve done unbelievable this season.
“For three years I’ve dreamed of this day and we’ve got it. And we absolutely dominated it.
“This award is for everybody. We did this – every single person at the club. We did 55. Not just eleven players – everybody at the club. And we all should celebrate.”

McGregor still has unfinished business at Rangers and has signed on for another year as the club looks to tackle the Champions League.
Fans were also delighted to see him pick up the Player of the Year award – even if he was particularly “emotional” at the time.
