Plenty of talking points emerged from Rangers’ win over Aberdeen on Wednesday.
Goals, red cards, penalties, reckless unpunished challenges – you name it.
The game also saw the return of a key figure for the Gers.
Connor Goldson.
The 26-year-old arrived in the summer from Brighton and was a consistently strong performer over the first half of the season.
Unfortunately, though, knocks picked up over a congested December period carried over into the New Year.
The mid-season break was a blessing for Goldson, but he still missed Rangers’ opening four fixtures of 2019.
It was a big boost to have him back involved at Pittodrie and he looked as though he’d never been away.

High praise indeed from the manager.
It’s deserved on the basis of his performances, though.
He has played the most matches of any of the summer signings and it’s a credit to him that before the break, he was the constant in a frequently changing centre-back partnership.
What’s more, it’s clear that he regularly leaves it all out on the pitch.
After the game, the Rangers twitter account posted footage of Goldson applauding the supporters at the end.
Just like after the Old Firm win, he just stands clapping with a grin on his face.
