Rangers fans react to Celtic's Twitter meltdown over David Turnbull

There’s plenty of pressure mounting ahead of the new campaign in Scotland, with Rangers breathing down current 8 in a row champions Celtic’s neck.
And whilst some of their fans might be in blatant denial about that fact, the club is certainly beginning to creak.
Celtic’s £3m bid for David Turnbull was accepted as our Parkhead rivals looked to have sneaked in on one of the country’s top talents. But Turnbull and his agent rejected the initial offer put forward by Celtic, and the club reacted pettily on Twitter.

Unless Donald Trump’s got a hold of the Celtic Twitter account, someone is beginning to feel the pressure. The “fantastic”/”magnificent offer” is the bit that got me. We’re sure it was.
Needless to say, Rangers fans have been reacting with a titter. Some might say we’ve no right to given we were never forking £3m out on the talented player, but we were always going to anyway.

And whilst Rangers fans have been quick to comment on the entire debacle, the usual suspects in the press have been extraordinarily quiet.
From Tom English, Chris Sutton and Michael Stewart there hasn’t been a peep. They’d have been all over it like a bad rash had this monumental cock-up been at Rangers.

And so much for
Lennon saying Celtic “were above” making statements in a cheap jibe at Rangers [Scottish Sun]. No wonder fans are laughing.
Not that it’s any of our business really. Turnbull may even still end up at Celtic. But Rangers look to have their sights set on a creative midfielder of their own.
